Tearing at the Western Wall on Saturday night when arriving close to sunset on Shabbat

Question

If a person sees the Western Wall on Shabbat, is there a need to tear on Saturday night? And what is the law when he arrives on Shabbat and stays until Saturday night?

Answer

After leaving the Western Wall and returning to his home, the custom is not to tear. However, if he arrives close to the sunset of Saturday night, and stays until Saturday night, he is obligated to tear on Saturday night.

In Responsa Maharil Diskin 101, letter 105, he wrote to doubt, for one who saw the place of the Western Wall on Shabbat, and could not tear, whether he tears on Saturday night when he arrives at his home, and in practice, the decisors wrote that the custom is not to tear.

But it seems simple, that if he arrived very close to sunset, and stayed until after sunset on Saturday night, he still has an obligation, for surely when a person did not tear immediately when he arrived, his obligation did not lapse after a short time, and it is not considered as seeing within 30 days.
