Feeding Dogs on Shabbos

Question

Hello On Shabbos - Can a dog that is owned by someone be fed by someone not its owner? Thank you

Answer

 Shalom!

Thank you for your question.

Although, as a general rule, on Shabbos one may not feed animals that one does not own, dogs are an exception to the rule and one my even feed stray dogs on Shabbos.
