Mitzva Observance
Question
Is there a stronger priority to follow kosher laws versus other laws? Is everything in the mitzvot at an equal importance?
Answer
Shalom!
As Torah Jews we believe that all the Torah's laws (mitzvot) are equally binding and important. It is not for us to pick and choose.
That being said, the more immediate "identification" of a Torah Jew is one who keeps Shabbat, Kosher, and Family Purity. A person who observes these three is considered to be a committed Jew (and likely observes/open to observing everything else)
