When is it permissible to take the prophet from the bimah

There is a minyan in a synagogue near ours, and they want to borrow our prophet, sending a child to bring the prophet. The problem is that he is often in a hurry because he is a little late until we finish, and therefore he wants to take the prophet immediately after we finish the reading. However, there are worshippers who want to delay him a bit, and there was a debate about how long the prophet must remain on the bimah. We decided to ask the rabbi, and we will do as the rabbi instructs.

Shalom Rav, the prophet should be left on the bimah until after the blessings of the maftir are completed, so that all the blessings of the maftir after the haftarah are recited while the prophet from which they read is on the bimah. However, immediately after the blessings are completed, it can be lent to the second minyan.
