Smearing Oil on a Horse's Wound on Shabbat

Question

Is it permissible to apply a mixture of liquid oils to treat wounds and heal the skin of a horse on Shabbat?

Answer

Greetings,
If not smearing the oils would cause pain or harm to the horse, for example, at the beginning of the wound, it is permissible.
However, if it is intended solely for the pleasure of the horse, such as towards the end of the wound, it is prohibited.
