Would it possibly be allowed to read novels such as the ones by Andrew Gross during shabbat ?

Hi Rabbi ????, i hope youre doing well.my name is Zoriy and im 31 yrs old. I have a question within regards towards if i possibly could read crime solving investigative thrillers and books related stories such as like the novels of author Andrew gross possibly ? Would it possibly be allowed and or permissable for me to read such stories during shabbat? i just really love reading his stories as its like a movie playing in your head? Any Advice on this whole matter Rabbi , as i just was curious about the Andrew Gross novels to read if they would be allowed and or permissable at all during shabbat to read if at all possible to do so ? Thank you in Advance Rabbi.

We should first recall that Shabbat is a holy day that should be used for spiritual pursuits including what we read, therefore it would be forbidden for you to do so.
