Using Toilet Soap on Shabbat

Question

Hi,I wanted to ask: Is it permitted on Shabbat to place a hanging toilet soap, that hangs on the side of the toilet bowl, which releases soap and disinfects the area every time the toilet is flushed? With blessings, H.K., Modiin Illit

Answer

Shalom,

There are two types of toilet soaps: those that only provide fragrance, which are permitted on Shabbat.

However, there are those that also color the water, and these are prohibited on Shabbos.
