To message or not to message?
Question
A car was driving through my neighborhood yesterday on Yomtov. It stopped to apparently, ask directions. What should one’s response be-ignore them, pretend that one doesn’t know the answer, or tell them the shortest route to their destination?
Answer
Thank you for your question.
If it is a non jew then you may tell him the directions, if however it is a jew who is mechallel Shabbos, you should either ignore him or say you don't know.
