Washing Fruits on Shabbos

Question

Shalom Rabbi,On Shabbos, is it okay to wash fruits and vegetables, for example, a cucumber with dirt on it or leafy greens, or is that considered borer?Does it make a difference how dirty they are or what the dirt is?Thank you very much.

If the washing is done close to the time of eating, it is permitted.
