Watching a Movie or Television

The First Year after Death

Question

Erev Tov, I am in the 2nd month of avileous for my father z”l, I do not listen to live music on the radio as it is forbidden during the 12 months. When I am home with my wife, am I allowed to watch a television program with her? Or a movie on the television? I am not going to live concerts, or movie theatres, or attending social gatherings because of the 1st year, but in privacy of my own home is this allowed.
