The fact that the granddaughter is in the same city where the deceased lived is not significant.
According to the Sephardic custom, there are no mourning customs for a grandfather.
According to the Ashkenazi custom, there are several mourning customs when one of the parents mourns for their relative. However, even according to this custom, the mourning is only in the city where the parents are sitting shiva.
The mourning according to the Ashkenazi custom includes: a. Prohibition of bathing in hot water, but bathing in cold or lukewarm water is allowed. b. Prohibition of wearing Shabbat clothes on weekdays. c. Prohibition of listening to music. d. Prohibition of participating in feasts. The prohibition includes participation without eating, but at mitzvah meals such as bar mitzvah, brit, and siyum, it is permitted to participate without eating.
