Brother

Question

My father married time to a non Jewish lady and had
4 children
One of them died yesterday
And the other family are cremating him
I am Jewish
Can l attend service

Answer

Thank you for your question.

If the cremation is done by non-Jews then you may attend, but not the when the actual cremation is taking place.

I do want to add that if the service is in a church, then it would be forbidden to enter not only the building but also the whole surrounding compound.

Wishing you only good news.
