Stipulation when renting a car

Question

I rented a car from someone. In the insurance policy for this car, it states that there is a third-party coverage only if the car is borrowed, but not when it’s rented. Is it possible to rent this car out, but to stipulate that if there is an accident, this will be considered a loan, and not a rental? Or maybe we can stipulate that if there is an accident, this will turn into a loan one moment before the accident?

Answer

Because the insurance company surely did not have this in mind, such a stipulation isn’t going to work.
