Free Shipping by Deception
Question
Hi,I want to place an order on a website where free shipping is given only on purchases over 130 ₪.Is it permitted to add items I don’t actually want, just to reach the free-shipping minimum, and then—after paying—cancel those unwanted items so I get free shipping only on the things I really want?Would this be considered a form of theft? As far as I know, the company is non-Jewish.
Answer
Shalom uVracha,
It is not permitted to do that.
This is considered stealing from a non-Jew, and it is forbidden.
