Nidda: Touching

Question

Hi! I want to know if there is a way that I can touch my wife while she is a nidda. Is there a way that the Torah lets me do this? This is one thing that might hold me back from being frum...I need to at least touch her at all times.

Answer

Shalom!

Thank you for your question!

Any form of contact between husband and wife is forbidden during the Nidda period.

Although this may sound difficult at first, it truly becomes second nature. Furthermore, the “off times” causes the “on times” to be much more meaningful and fulfilling.

The laws of family purity are an essential part of Jewish life. They truly enrich a marriage, and I can assure you that observing them will be very worthwhile.
