Bleeding During Pregnancy – Does It Make Her Tamei?
Question
Good afternoon,My wife is eight weeks pregnant. A few days ago, she had some light bleeding, and since then there’s been a bit more each day, including once when it was brownish. Does this mean she needs to go to the mikvah?
Answer
Shalom uVracha,
Bleeding during pregnancy is treated the same as at any other time.
She should therefore count five days from when the bleeding began, then seven clean days, and afterwards immerse in the mikvah.
