Non-Kosher Residue
Question
If I touch a non kosher dry surface, do I have to wash my hands? Or if someone eats non kosher and then touches a door handle, do I have to wash my hands if I touch that door handle since there may be a transfer of grease?
Answer
Shalom!
Thank you for your question.
There is little concern that non-kosher residue on doorknobs, and the like, will make it into one's food.
That being said, one should definitely wash one's hands and all surfaces that have non-kosher residue as soon as one can.
