Food Question

Question

Why do Ashkenazi refrain from cooking and eating rice and beans together?

Answer

Shalom!

Thank you for your question.

There is no Ashkenazi ban on cooking rice and beans together.

Perhaps you are confusing this with "Kitniot" - the Ashkenazi ban to eat rice and beans on Passover.
