Salad Dressing

Question

I made a salad dressing in a container that i am not sure if it was used for dairy or if it is just parev. The salad dressing is parev but it has lemon juice in it. Am i able to put the dressing on my salad with chicken in it?

Answer

Shalom!

Thank you for your question.

The salad dressing is considered to be Parve.

This is because there is some question whether lemon juice is a “davar charif” and furthermore there is a doubt whether the container was dairy in the first place.
