The Status of a Dairy Pan Near a Meat Pot While Cooking

Question

A dairy frying pan was standing next to a pot of chicken soup that was in the middle of cooking. I lifted the lid of the pot, and boiling water that had collected on the lid spilled—though I did not notice whether it fell directly on the frying pan or only near it. Immediately afterwards, I touched the inside part of the frying pan that was close to the pot, and it was hot. What is the halachic status of the frying pan?

Answer

Shalom uVracha,

If it is not known that the drops actually reached the frying pan, the pan is not forbidden.

Since when we are unsure, we assume it has not become forbidden.
