"Bechezkat"
Question
Hey, what does becheskat fleishig mean and what can i and what cant i eat with it?
Answer
Shalom!
Thank you for your question.
The term "Bechezkat Besari/Fleishig" means that the food in question is completely Pareve but was made with meaty equipment. As such, one should not eat this food together with dairy. So too, one does not need to wait 6 hours after eating such food before eating dairy.
So it is with the more common term "Bechezkat Chalavi/Milchig" which means that the item is completely Pareve but was made on dairy equipment. Such foods should not be eaten together with meat. However, one who has eaten meat need not wait 6 hours before eating such foods.
