Kashrus
Question
Hi, it seems that I have accidentally cooked schnitzel in a dairy pan for dinner last night and we all are it, I only realized this morning as I was going to was the pan, what do I do?
Answer
Shalom!
Thank you for your question.
The pan is not kosher and must be kashered.
However, most frying pans these days have coatings such as "teflon," and the like, which make then unkasherable.
In the event that the frying pan is pure metal without coatings it would need to be kashered by "Hagalah", after 24 hours of use.
