Immersion of Utensils – Chatzitzah on the Handle
Question
I immersed a frying pan made outside of Israel in a mikveh, but there was still a label stuck to the handle. Is that okay, or does it need to be immersed again?
Answer
Shalom uVracha,
A chatzitzah on the handle invalidates the immersion, and it must be immersed again.
However, if it is a label that people normally leave on, it is not considered a chatzitzah.
