Can you pray for yourself on Shabbat?

When is the best time to pray for yourself and family you pray for yourself on Shabbat. What about praying for your wife to fall pregnant?

While there are many auspicious occasions for such prayers, it is very appropriate for a woman to pray for her family and all their needs when she lights the Shabbat candles each week. It is made even more powerful if charity is given before the candle lighting.
Hagaon Harav Fried Shelita says that the best time to pray Tehillim for your wife to become pregnant, is after a few hours of torah study.
