Answer

Shalom!

Thank you of your question.

You are referring to the "segula" (omen) of reciting the “Parshat Haman” on Tuesday when the Torah portion of “Beshalach” is read. It is said to be an omen for having livelihood and sustenance. The Parshat Haman details the episode of the miraculous "Manna" [bread from heaven] that sustained the Jewish people during their 40-year journey in the desert.

One who recites the Parshat Haman acknowledges that his/her livelihood comes from only from G-d. So too, it strengthens one's faith and trust in G-d.

Some recite it twice along with the Targum translation of the passage.

The idea of reciting it specifically on this day is said to have originated from Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Riminov [1745-1815]. The Shulchan Aruch encourages saying it every day.
