Hello, My grandmother's name is Babelay. I don't know much about her( She's deceased). Except that she went to Jerusalem several times, worn a golden necklace with the star of David. Can you tell me the roots of this name? Thank you so much, Sincerely, N.C Thank you so much.

I am not familiar with the name “Babelay” and it does not seem to be of Jewish origin. There is some literature of the name being Irish or French in origin, and used more as a surname than first name.
I will add that if this grandmother that you write about was your maternal grandmother and was Jewish, you might be Jewish too. Ask your local orthodox rabbi for more help and information on this matter.
