Timer for Yom Tov

Question

Good Voch. I just bought an electrical camping stove with 2 fire that I want to use during the Chagim. Can I plug it on a timer before Yom Tov so it will switch off at a selected time or is it a kibuy prohibitation? Regards, Vanessa

Answer

Shalom!

Thank you for your question.

It is permissible to set a timer to have an electric appliance go off on Yom Tov.
