Taking a Pill on Yom Kippur
Question
Is it okay for someone to take an Attent pill on Yom Kippur, if without it he’d end up in bed—sick but not in real danger?
Answer
Shalom uVracha,
If he knows that without it he’ll become ill, he may take it.
He should take the pill without water. If that’s not possible, he can swallow it with a little bitter water, like by adding tea extract or something similar.
