Is it permissible to study 'Mesillat Yesharim' on the night of Tisha B'Av?

It is permissible to study books of ethical instruction and awakening.

See Shulchan Aruch, section Orach Chayim, chapter 554:2, which permits the study of the Book of Job, as it is entirely about the rectification of human behavior.
