Taking Contraception on a Fast Day
Question
Is it permitted to take a contraceptive pill on Tisha B'Av, and is it permitted to take it with a bit of water? Thank you.

It is permitted to take the pill.
If it can be taken without water, do so. If not, it is permissible to take it with a small amount of water. It is preferable to make the water bitter with a bit of tea extract, salt, etc.
