Sitting on a chair on Tisha B'Av for the sake of a baby

Question

Is it permissible to sit on a high chair on Tisha B'Av in order to feed a baby who is sitting on his highchair, and it is easier to feed him in this way (this is how he is accustomed to be fed, that someone sits next to him and feeds him)?

Answer

Shalom!
If it is possible to sit him lower, one should sit low as per the law. If, for some reason this is not possible, it is permissible to sit high to feed the baby.
