Fasting on Tisha B'Av while Partially Breastfeeding

Question

Greetings and blessings! My wife is after her first childbirth. We have, thank G-d, a nine-month-old baby girl who is primarily breastfed. However, since she is not ready to eat formula, and my wife goes to work every day, during my wife's working hours she eats Gerber, sweet potato soup, and the like, between 7 in the morning and 4 in the afternoon. Afterwards, when my wife returns, she continues breastfeeding her. What is the law regarding my wife's fasting on Tisha B'Av?

Answer

Shalom!
She can feed her as usual on Tisha B'Av. If as the day wears on, she feels that the child lacks food, she is allowed to drink. But according to the child's usual eating schedule, it does not seem that she will need to do this.
