Mentioning the Destruction of Beitar on Tisha B'Av

Question

Why is the destruction of Beitar not mentioned on Tisha B'Av?

Answer

Shalom!
I have not found a discussion of this matter in any holy books.
However, the explanation of this might be, based on what Maharal wrote: 'As for Beitar, even though their reign lasted a few years after the destruction [of the Temple in Jerusalem], it is still one destruction, and they are not two separate things. Certainly, if Jerusalem had not been destroyed, Beitar would not have been destroyed, and everything follows the destruction of Jerusalem.'
