House Cleaning During the Nine Days
Question
Is it permissible during the Nine Days to wash the floors in the house before Shabbos, when one is not planning to spend Shabbos at home, but it would likely make the woman feel good on Shabbos knowing that she left the house that is nice and clean.

There is no prohibition mentioned in the Halachic authorities to clean the house during the Nine Days.
However, there are communities that customarily prohibit this except for the honor of Shabbos. And for those who follow this prohibition, there is no exception except for the sake of Shabbos itself.
