Renovating an Apartment During the Nine Days

Is it permissible to paint an apartment during the Nine Days?

Shalom!
It is forbidden to paint, plaster, or wallpaper in order to beautify the house during the Nine Days.
However, if it is not done for beautification, but rather due to damage to the house, such as a pipe that burst, fire, and the like, it is permitted.
