Pesach Question

Question

We used a low-quality silicone pad on an induction cooktop for Pesach. The pad got wet, and while a Pesach pot was cooking on it, the pot and pad stuck very tightly to the cooktop and were hard to separate. Is the pot still kosher for use on Pesach, or does it need to be kashered or replaced?

Answer

Shalom!

Thank you for your question.

As long as the pot only touched a kosher-for-Pesach surface the pot remains kosher for Pesach.

Based on what you write, your pot never touched a non-Pesach surface.
