Eating a Meal of Fruits Outside the Sukkah

Question

Shalom,The Rema (Siman 639:2) writes, and it seems that Maran agrees, that fruit, water, and wine may be eaten outside the sukkah even if one eats or drinks it as a meal (kovea seudah). But how much exactly is considered a meal on fruit, water, and wine? And from the Mishnah Berurah it sounds like, according to Maran, even fish and meat are included...so how much does one need to eat. Also, regarding the five species of grain: when Maran says that if one eats them as a meal, one must eat in the sukkah, can you tell me the amount one must eat?

Answer

Shalom uVracha

Koveah Seudah means sitting down to eat these foods with the intention of being satisfied by them, making it your meal.

It’s like when people sit down to have a meal of meat or fish with various vegetables, and that itself is their meal, without adding bread or Mezonos.
