Being Exempt Through Your Wife’s Lighting at Home
Question
If a married man who lives in Israel and is traveling to America on Chanuka and and will be staying in a hotel where there are no other Jews around, how should he fulfill the mitzvah of הדלקות נרות? Should he rely on his wife’s lighting, light without a ברכה or light with a ברכה?

Thank you for your question.
Your wife should light for you at home (specifically at your house), and then you will be exempted from lighting where you are. (See Azamroh Lishmecho issue #313 page 14)
