Fasting with Low Iron
Question
i read what you wrote about the iron - my iron is dangerously low -- i wanted to know if there is a maala to drinking and taking vitamins and not having food ? probably you will say to eat normally - but does that mean to limit anything ? obviously not unhealthy food - but meat is very good for me and it is weird to have meat on a fast day . i will say extra tehilim as a way to show that i am with am yisrael on this day and that will be instead of fasting ?
Answer
Thank you for your question,
If your iron is less then 10 then you should not fast (Shivah Asar be'tammuz)
Although you should refrain from eating meat.
