Can you listen to music after lag baomer?

HaRav Fried says that one should refrain from listening to music till Rosh Chodesh Sivan. (based on the Taz 493 and the Mishna Berura ibid) Although Beney Sepharad are lenient and allow listening to music after the 34th day of the omer.
