T-shirt Tzitzit: Is it permissible to wear on the body?
Question
Is it permissible to wear a tzitzit that is a shirt or a tzitzit made of sweat-resistant fabric on the body without an undershirt?
Answer
Shalom and blessings
A tzitzit that is a shirt is permissible a priori (lechatchila). [The main commandment of the Torah is stated regarding a garment that a person wears and has 4 corners, and for this, the obligation of tzitzit is mentioned].
A tzitzit that is an undershirt is only permissible for minors before Bar Mitzvah. Because there is an opinion that it is a garment exempt from tzitzit, as it is made to absorb sweat.
