Is Snail Blood Kosher

Question

After it is stated with regard to Tefillin that it must be from a permitted species, and Tzitzit is compared to Tefillin in several laws, can it also be said that in the laws of Tzitzit, a permitted species is required?And Tosafot (ד"ה כי היכי) Shabbat 75a, in the name of R"T, writes that the blood of a snail suitable for dyeing is stored separately in its body therefore it is not considered as its blood but another blood, so can it be said that the blood of a snail suitable for dyeing is kosher, like the honey of a bee?

Shalom Rav,

The Chasam Sofer writes that the snail is not permitted for consumption.

However, the prohibition of 'from a permitted species' applies only when using the actual animal and not something used solely for dyeing.
