Using crochet squares for tallit katan?

Question

Hello! I want to make a tallit katan using crochet, but I'm not sure if it constitutes a woven garment if I make separate crochet squares and sew them together - would this be halachically acceptable?

Answer

Shalom!

Thank you for your question.

It is perfectly acceptable to make a for cornered garment from separate squares sewn together.

Just be sure to only place the tzitzit on the corners after the garment is completed.
