Saying "Oh my G-d"
Question
Is one allowed to say Oh my g-d? as it might be the name of hashem
Answer
Shalom!
Thank you for your question.
A number of authorities explain that the Biblical commandment “You shall not take G-d’s name in vain” includes using G-d's name or even references to G-d's name, in any language
This is the opinion of the Mishneh Berurah Siman 85 that one should refrain from mentioning Hashems nae even in a foreign language. Therefore, one may not say "Oh my G-d."
