Kedusha Nusach Ashkenazi
Question
In the Kedusha recited during the repetition of the Amidah for Ashkenazim, does the congregation only say the verses - Kadosh, Baruch, Yimloch, and the verses - Le'umatam and Uv'divrei Kodshecha are said only by the chazan, or does the congregation also say them?Thank you very much.
Answer
Shalom Rav
According to the original Ashkenazi custom, the congregation only says the verses Kadosh, Baruch, and Yimloch.
Nowadays, in many Ashkenazi communities, it is customary for the congregation to also say the beginning of the Kedusha 'Nekadesh et Shimcha, etc.'.
