Mistaken Pronunciation of Hashem's Name
Question
Hi, I heard in the name of Rav Chaim Kanievsky zt”l that if someone says Hashem's name by mistake during Pesukei Dezimra, they should say "Baruch Shem Kevod..." I was wondering, does the same halacha apply if this happens during birkut Kriat Shema? Or is the ruling different in this case? Thank you!
Answer
Thank you for your question.
Maybe Rav chaim said so, I don't know.
Le'halcha the Shulchan Aruch in siman 206 writes that one only says so, when saying a Bracha by mistake, not when one says Shem Hashem during tefillah.
