Human Involvement in Writing Sacred Texts
Question
If a Jew holds a quill in hand and a machine that holds the hand writes the Sefer Torah, Tefillin or Mezuzah, is it kosher? Similarly, what is the Halacha regarding slaughter?
Answer
Shalom,
It is considered the action of the machine.
The person is not regarded as having written or slaughtered — he merely held the object.
