Women wearing scrub pants

Question

What is the halacha regarding women in healthcare wearing baggy scrub pants for school? Would it make a difference if my class is all females? Would it make a difference if the alternative is a tight skirt that would restrict my mobility and ride up when sitting? Would it make a difference if wearing a skirt would draw extra (potentially negative) attention and would make me feel extremely uncomfortable?

Answer

Shalom!

Thank you for your question.

If there are only women around then you may wear the hospital pants.

However, if there are men present, the rules of tzniut will apply just as they do in all other social settings.
