Eyebrow Coloring with Microblading
Question
I’d like to clarify the halachic status of microblading, which is a form of semi-permanent eyebrow pigmentation. On one hand, it involves injecting pigment under the skin; on the other hand, it doesn’t last more than a year or two.
Answer
Shalom,
The ruling of our teacher, Harav Amrom Fried shlit”a, is to prohibit microblading, as it is considered a form of tattooing.
However, he stated that one should not protest against those who are lenient, since there are opinions that permit it.
