Scars/Tattoos
Question
I have had a very invasive surgery on my front. Unfortunately I have a big scar or gash upon my flesh. My question is would it be appropriate to get a Star of David tattoo to cover up this up?
Answer
Shalom!
Thank you for your question.
Tattoos are forbidden according to Torah law, and in fact, they are a very severe transgression.
There is no dispensation to transgress the Torah for considerations such as yours.
If the scar bothers you very much, you be lenient to have a plastic surgery to fix it/remove it.
May you have a complete healing.
